Long, cold winter

I've started Anna Karenina, in honor of winter. I firmly believe Russian novels need to be read in the dead of winter, so I'm doing my part.

I'm only about 100 pages through it so far. It's slow going, although surprisingly easy to read. (I think it's a modern translation.)

Happy winter!

It is slow going, but at the end I really really liked it. I read it in a class where we also read Madame Bovary and about three other books that were all about unfaithful women. We thought maybe the class should have been called Whores In Literature.
